he character class is synonymous with RPG games, and D&D, and a campaign set in Mekkan, the world of twokinds is no different. however they are a few differences that set it apart from the typical D&D campaign setting
No Gods
While the Masks, who are presumed to have created the world do send avatars and posses individuals to do their biddign, they do not grant spells to worshippers, nor do they even seem to have worshippers, the opposite seems to be true, when Epemural showed up, "Red" felt obligated to defend the people of the town, even though he didn't like his chances. this shows that the Masks are feared whenever they appear, putting them more in line with Demon Lords or Archdevils than gods.
Magic and Mana
Magic in Twokinds is vastly different than traditional D&D magic, at first glance it might seem similar to arcane magic, after all trace posses a spellbook, right? However Arcane magic doesn't allow for healing spell, and we've never seen any indication of schools of magic like in D&D. Furthermore, divine magic is nonexistent, and while the Masks grant power, they also take control of those who open themselves up to them, so warlocks are out as well. What is defined as a sorcerer (a mage who inherited their magic) is present in the form of Raine, but other that her we don't have much to go on. Druidic magic also seems like a odd fit, as ALL mages in Mekkan pull their Mana (magical energy) from the earth, as for monks, it could be possible, but we've yet to see anything resembling it. Also, in D&D there are several spells which break many of the established laws of magic in Twokinds, or simply don't fit in. This has prompted me to create a Mage class, with many options to allow for any flavour of spellcaster, with it's own spell list which covers all spells that could conceivably be cast in Twokinds. Another class which I will be working on is the Adrakist, a worshipper of dragons who seeks to emulate the majestic creatures by using magic to alter their own bodies.
What classes to Allow?
Technically you could just reflavour any spellcasting class as a Mage, and select spells from the Mage spell list,
